We need
people to volunteer to fill several key positions in the pack:
Cubmaster
- Position Filled- Assistant Cubmaster
- Position Currently Open
Treasurer
- Position Filled- Co-Committee Chair
- Tiger Den Leader
Wolf Den Leader
- Position Filled
Each person who has
ever served as a Pack 444 Leader has been a parent, like yourselves,
who graciously volunteered his/her time in order to ensure that all
of our
children were able to experience a quality Scouting program.
I know that many of
you are thinking "I'm just too busy", or
"Someone else will volunteer", or perhaps you're thinking
"I don't know anything about being a Cub Scout Leader." I
have news for you, none of the current Leaders had any experience
when they began and, at one time or another, most of us probably
thought the same things. We realized however, that
our children would suffer unless we stopped expecting others to come
forward to fill a needed position and stepped up to take charge
ourselves. Once we did, it
was amazing how easily we found the time, and discovered that you
don't need to have experience to be a Cub Scout Leader, you just
have to care! I know that all of you care, because if you
didn't your children wouldn't be
there week after week!
If lack of training is your biggest concern then rest assured that
training is provided, and that you will have the support of many seasoned
Leaders who will answer your questions and assist you as you help the
Pack's children!
